Never Just Peace

Don't read my words...
Read the spaces

between

the

words,

the limitless white spaces that all the words cannot touch.
That is where I exist,
that is where I am taking you.
It's the only place that's real.

We exist between inhale and exhale,
Between the slow, fluid push and the withdraw.
Between the grinding sway from one side to the other,
    Between swelling and release,
Between slow agony and animal fury,
Between the impossibly small beads of salt and water.

The space between
your thoughts

and mine.
That is where we live, that is where the Universe floats,

    suspended.

Where fire mingles with water,
where the alchemy of blood and water collides,
the winds of the hurricane and the eye of peace

Come with me to the edges of existence,
and you will see:
It was never just peace that you wanted.
